Flamenco Rosario is proud to present the 2017 Artist In Residence guest artist: Alicia Márquez!

 

Flamenco Rosario will be holding workshops by Alicia Márquez from July 10 – 15, 2017.

Born in Seville, Spain, Alicia began her flamenco journey at the age of ten studying with Matilde Coral and finishing her studies at the Spanish Dance and Dramatic Art at the Seville Conservatory. She began her professional life in flamenco, joining Mario Maya Company with his show “Ritmo y Amor Brujo” and has appeared in the films “Flamenco” and “Sevillanas” by Carlos Saura. Her other accomplishments include presenting as a soloist in Joaquín Grilo Company’s “De la Noche“, taking part in Paco Peña Company’s “Voices and Echoes” and “Flamenco Concert“, and dance presentations of “De La Memoria” at the Festival de Jerez and “Aire Flamenco” at the first edition of the Toronto International Flamenco Festival at the Danforth Music Hall.
